I'm not sure if these would be considered props or environment studies. Either way here are some cacti studies.

SketchCrawl 24: Results

WOW, I can't even express how amazing yesterday was! Started with some quality one on one time with my sketchbook. The LA group went to Grand Central Market, Bradburry building (used in Blade Runner), and a couple of us went to a hilltop garden across the street to see a beautifully lit skyline (yay magic hour). Then after that I attended the top notch Terrible Yellow Eyes show at Nucleus. What an amazing show one of the best I've seen of today's artist. Met a lot of wonderful people and had my mind blown many times talking about art. Oh it was AMAZING, I'm still smiling about it. :D

Hope everyone else had a spectacular day!!!

SketchCrawl #24

Its TODAY! Everybody get out there and draw!

To locate a group in your area or join up with the LA group click the links.

For those who don't know what this is:
SketchCrawl is a day long world wide drawing marathon that happens every couple of months. This event is for sketchers from all walks of life, on different continents, for anyone with a piece of paper and any form of drawing utensil. It's about getting out there, enjoying life and taking a little time to appreciate everything. Even if there isn't a group in your area, and even if you're busy that day I'm sure you'll find something inspiring. Just pick up a piece of paper and draw it, even if you're not an artist it's all in good fun.

Everyone have a wonderful day, Happy Sketching!

Kline: Adrienne

Last night I basically boycotted any pose over 5 mins. So in some instances I ended up with the same pose from multiple angles. I'm becoming kind of obsessive trying to capture movement.

Kline Academy: Cabaret

Results from Kline Academy last night. I need to start going twice a week to figure sessions. I NEED it (like water). I drew a couple poses multiple times and from different angles. I'm all over short poses recently.

LA Zoo

Eventful day at the zoo on Friday. The Hippo was out of the water and I actually got a chance to see the Rhino. Oh and I rolled my ankle so I can't do anything this weekend lol. I just hope it heals good enough for me to go to the Drawing Club next week.
