Zoo Day!

Another LA Zoo day! It was a little harder to get into hard core drawing mode today, I think we're still getting used to being in the heat haha. I know I'm used to being stuck inside constantly, I've probably gotten more sun since the Ren Faire than I've had in YEARS. I'm enjoying it, but my body is having to adjust to the massive amounts of vitamin D.
Anyway, here are the sketches from today in chronological order, pen and graphite. :]
*Bonus* (sort of)
God of War II Gestures, pen and marker. I did these... this weekend maybe? Wish my days wouldn't run themselves together so much, I keep forgetting its Wednesday. Oh goodness.

Ooh! You'll have to let me know when you're heading for the zoo!

My school schedule is pretty free for the rest of the school year, especially for the next week or so, so perhaps we can meet up!

Excellent work here! I love these sketches. Did you sketch it all laid out like this in your sketchbook or did you compile all the best work in Photoshop?

Really beautiful stuff here.

wish I had a zoo close by I could visit to draw some. But you think norway got zoo's? na-ah. ;P I could go to the mall though, almost same thing.

Love the quick skethces here, you really captured the shape and form of the animals. :)

Hsieh: Thanks!

Kaitlin: we're probably going again Wednesday. If you have facebook you should hunt me down and add me

Alexiev: Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for both of your lovely comments!

Justin: Thanks! trying too keep the quality on the up and up :P

Glenn: Thanks man! These are pretty much ALL of the sketches I did that day except for maybe a couple. And then I put them in Photoshop on a single page to save room on the blog. It's a bit hard for me to keep a good page composition at the zoo while trying to get the sketches down super fast. But one of these days! heheh :]

Muffin: Thanks!! Yea, malls are similar enough haha. Do you have dog parks? any local farms? places where people ride horses? Most people are warm to artists and don't mind you sketching the animals. Good luck!

Love the zoo studies (especially the kangaroo) I like the swiftness of your line work - you don't seem to labour over them which is great
