First day of the new term with Mark was 15Feb11 and wow did we start off with a fantastic model! Poses were 1 min and 3 mins. Luckily the night before class I tried out some 30sec poses from an online Gesture Drawing Tool. It helped to give myself the illusion that the 1min poses were longer.
1 min
3 min +
(some I refined a bit more before moving on to the next pose)
* These were done using a Black China Marker and a Prang Charcoal Pencil *
Update:
In the comment section there was a question about a figure drawing database of images with the same model in different poses. The only one I can think of is, Character Designs: An Artist Resource - 39 Photosets.
If you know of any other online Figure Drawing resources feel free to share!

most excellent :D
Lovely gestures. And thanks for the link! I will definitely use that.
Very nice, Kendra!
I looove your gestures. I always look forward to your posts :D!
Hm. Looks great, but the thing is, I use gesture tool quite often for my own warmup sketches and end up getting a random assortment of poses of completely different models, poses and costumes. Yet the sketches I see here seem to be consistent.
Is there some sort of setting that will allow me to view the same model in many different poses rather than jumping from one model to a completely different one that I'm just not aware of?
Nat: thanks :D
Chris: thanks, and you're welcome
Megan: Thanks!
Gabby: aw you're too sweet, thanks for the support :]
Erik: Sorry if I wasn't clear. All of these were done from life with a costumed model. I did warm ups the night before the class using the gesture drawing tool, but I didn't post any of those drawings.
But if you are looking for a photoset database with images of the same model in multiple poses you can check out
Character Designs: An Artist Resource (39 Photosets)

If you would still like to use a timer you could download the images, put them in a folder, and then view them in a slide-show or put them in a timed powerpoint
These are all fantastic Gestures Kendra. Lots of life in all of them in such a short time. I can't believe Marks class started up already. Ugggg! I keep missing it.

Hi Kendra, I was just checking my extremetracking statistics page on my blog and it showed that you gave me a shout on your twitter feed, thanks so much! I really appreciate it and it pushes me to update soon!
Out of curiosity who was the coworker that mentioned me?
And I forgot to mention that your blog is lovely and I shall be following your art from now on =) Its a shame we didn't meet up during one of the sketch crawls while I was in LA, I only attended the LA Zoo meet but my coworker and I arrived later than the meetup time so we just went along doing our thing.
Dustin: hey thanks man. things are well, I'm working at a place here in LA called Titmouse Inc. It's a lot of fun, and I'm really enjoying it. Hope all is well in TX!
Ramona: Thanks!
Karl: Aw, too kind, thanks much!
Jim: thanks
Eduardo: Haha, that's a handy alert system. I've never tried it. Maybe I should look into it. My coworker is Trevor Spencer (plug: http://trevorspencer.blogspot.com/ :P). Thanks so much for the kind comment. I'm actually the coordinator for the LA branch of SketchCrawl. If you're ever back in town for one of the crawls you'll have to let me know and we can put faces to names. Thanks for stopping by :]
Ah good to know, Trevor and I went to school together! We were both at 6point Harness earlier this year. Thanks again for the plug, and please say hi to Trev for me. Will you be attending CTN expo 2011?
Wouldn't miss it! I love CTN!!
